Introduction

I spend a lot of time reading about all the issues facing the US, and all the so-called "ideas" that politicians have about how to solve our problems.  I also listen to the liberal talking heads on television, who only appear smart when compared to the conservative talking heads.
The Republicans want to cure all our ills by eliminating everything good the government does in favor of giving back to the rich, who pay for their re-elections.  The Democrats want to maintain the status quo and pass the problems along to the next office holders while pretending to care.  Or, to paraphrase Louis Black,  the Democrats are the party of no ideas, and the Republicans are the party of bad ideas.  No one is telling the whole truth about what we need to do to fix things -- the economy, social security, Medicare, the deficit, the wars, and on and on.
Based upon everything I read and hear  I'm the only person in this country who knows what needs to be done.  While I have little to no hope that my attempting to enlighten the masses here will have any actual effect on the policies of our state and federal governments, I at least want to be on record as having been right when it all finally goes down the toilet.  I will thus get to enjoy telling the world "I told you so".
And, in the event that some of what I have to say actually does result in some change, I will get to say,  as I say now:
          You're welcome.
